Jenn's Trip to Europe

I will try to post lots of pics when I am over there..

Wow! This last week or two has flown by! I now have only one more full day and then it will be Tuesday, when I'm heading out. I feel a lot more ready now, as I have more of the things I need, and what I don't have, I will get tomorrow, or go without. I still need to really pack, but right now I am exhausted from lots of things.. I think I will make myself do a bit anyhow tonight, so that tomorrow is a much smoother day. I'm a bit frustrated now because I feel like I've been having so many obligations to so many different things (like work, etc) and I feel as if I'm being stretched in 4 different directions... I just don't have time to do it all. I guess this is what my boss would call the "crunch time". lol But I am really looking forward to going overseas, despite all this. And today has also been really good, as I really have felt that others are reaching out to me and that's such a nice feeling. It will be such an adventure, but at the same time, I will miss all those I'm leaving behind. I know a lot of things change and go on when one is gone, but I guess that's the small price to pay for such a neat opportunity. I feel really blessed.

I just wanted to write an entry on the day that I decided to create this blog.. And as of right now, I have 17 more days until I leave. I am creating this so that my family and friends can see what's going on while I am studying abroad in Europe.

As far as my trip, I leave on January 29th and am there until May 7th when I fly back here. I will be in Reims, France, for most of the time; but will be in Paris and Switzerland for a little while and will be going to Dublin and London during Spring Break. At the end of my trip, I will have 2 weeks of free-traveling, which I want to go to maybe Italy or Germany, etc.. I don't quite know yet, but I am so excited.

Pretty much right now I'm just getting ready by reading up on travel and getting my textbooks. (which now are finally correctly ordered now that they aren't being shipped to Arkansas..) I'm also getting all my check-ups and working a bit (at the Old Time Photo Place). Right now I'm just working on designing our website (or making it work better) and also just taking whoever's picture that comes in. But it's going to be strange to still be working for a few more weeks. It already feels weird to still be in Texas, because I know that mostly everyone (at Harding) is heading back by either today or tomorrow. And classes for most people start Monday!

I cannot wait to be abroad but at the same time, I won't believe that I'm really going until I get on the plane and then am physically there. It's going to be a ton of fun, and I hope that I can keep up here and there with writing. Ciao for now!
